So, finally the day has come. It is time to tell the world what the heck is Jobsket, that website that luckily won the support of some people but did neither release nor show anything.

Why would we want to keep the secret? Well, simply we were not ready. We think Jobsket is a very innovative product and presents a new and fresh approach to the recruiting market, so we did not want to create any bluff. We just wanted to focus on deliver and not to be distracted by anything else, and that is what we have been doing over he last three months. But now we are finally ready to tell the world what Jobsket is:

Jobsket is a web application that analyzes the jobs market trends to effectively store and value CVs. As simple as that. We offer a platform where people can upload their CV in different formats. We store your CV and we transform it to a more browsable format that does not require any external tool to display it, just any regular browser with Flash support. We believe there are many advantages in using our service:

• You can keep your CV in our secure storage and you can access it from everywhere.
• You can have your CV at your home or office in your native format (like Microsoft Word) and do not have to worry about converting it to HTML or something like that. You only have to upload it and we will take care of the conversion for you!
• You can add a customized widget in your website allowing people to access to your CV.
• You can download it anywhere and any time.
• You can send friendly URLs to employers or recruiters with your CV so they will be able to see it and download it without any problems.

Ok, but of course this is just half of the story. Apart from storing CVs, and this is where things get interesting, Jobsket will also give you an estimation about how much your CV is worth in the jobs market. To do this, we connect to many different jobs web sites and we learn from the information in there so we can create trends and aggregate about how the jobs market in performing. Later we cross this information with the information available in the CV that you have uploaded to our system and using a custom built-in algorithm we provide an estimation of your value on the market.

We will go through all this process in subsequent blog posts, but in summary we think Jobsket is a great tool to keep an eye on the market, see which technologies and roles are worthier than others and spot in the blink of an eye an interesting offer that outstands over others.
