Estábamos un poco hartos de ver que todas las listas de CVs y plantillas y todo esto siempre vienen del extranjero. Así que nos hemos puesto manos a la obra y hemos contactado con esas personas que tienen currículums que nos han parecido realmente y todos nos han dado permiso muy amáblemente para que os enseñemos su trabajo. A ver que os parecen:

- gldg

Gerald es un creativo que nos muestra su historia en forma de originales viñetas. Tan originales que Jobsket cree que el CV está en islandés

- fatuarte

Fátima Fatuarte es una creativa con un currículum que se escapa de lo tradicional. En lugar de utilizar el formato clásico de una o dos hojas ha creado una presentación de 22 páginas con su historia y portafolio. En nuestro visor no se ve muy bien, pero si le hacéis zoom o lo descargáis podéis ver los detalles.

- rigualv

Rafael Igual es un informático y MBA que ha utilizado también el formato presentación, aunque en forma de pergamino. Muy original. (Nota: Este CV es muy grande y a veces da una advertencia al cargar. Pulsando Ignorar continuará la carga.)

- norhild

Marcelino es un programador de videojuegos al que nadie llamaba cuando les enviaba su currículum en formato EuroPass. Lo cambió a lo que veis y comenzó a recibir llamadas. Muy original.

- noemolcas

Noelia, diseñadora y publicista se decanta por un CV más tradicional. Aún así, la aplicación de colores vistosos y la perfecta integración de la foto hacen que quede realmente bonito.

- santyjazz

Santiago Molina es un diseñador gráfico que ha optado por el color y el texto diagonal.

- mvigara

Marta, una ejecutiva de marketing, utiliza un formato colorido a la vez que sencillo. También aprovecha el visor de Jobsket para ocultar sus datos personales lo cual siempre agrademos.

- odibazo

Odi, una diseñadora de Barcelona, utiliza una cabecera llamativa y una sencilla nube de tags para capturar la atención.

- christianmadrid

Christian es un ingeniero técnico que nos cuenta que adaptó su CV en base a otro que le impactó. El estilo es similar al de santyjazz. Nuestro OCR tampoco se lleva bien con él.

- albertterre

Albert, diseñador gráfico, nos muestra un CV muy simplista y chillón. Desde luego, llama la atención.

Esto es todo. Ojalá os hayan gustado los currículums y esperamos traeros muchos más en el futuro. Si tenéis un currículum recordad que lo podeís subir a Jobsket en segundos, sin formularios y automáticamente recibiréis ofertas de trabajo que se ajustan a vuestro perfil, además de poder promocionarlo en redes sociales, vuestra web o blog. The first thing you will notice when using Jobsket is that there is now a few help symbols over several places. It’s help! There have been so many people asking questions about Jobsket and how it works that we obviously need to put some help in place. We have started with a simple but quite complete page. If you think we should add some extra help entries about any other topics in there, just send us a message and we will add your questions to the help page.

There has also been many changes in the valuation algorithm that Jobsket uses. In fairness, our algorithm was being a little bit generous in some cases and a little bit unfair in other cases. For example, we weren’t penalizing junior people (< 2 years of experience) even though our average quotes always do refer to an average experience. Also, very senior people were getting much higher valuations than they probably should be.

These problems were affecting a minority of our users but it is something that we had to solve. We have improved the valuation algorithm in several different ways, so be aware that you could get a valuation with a few thousand euros more or less than your previous one. If you were in the extreme cases that I mentioned, then the variation could be bigger. But in summary, the system is much more accurate and fair now.

But, to make the valuation system even fairer, you will be able now to tell us your salary history and how much are you willing to earn. All this data will be kept private to other Jobsket users and only recruiters and companies interested in you, will be able to see this information. You are not obligued to enter this data, but if you do so then we will use it to make a better valuation of your profile. So if for example we value you in 23K due to some error and you’ve been earning around 40K in your previous jobs, your valuation will move up considerably.

If you are looking for a new job, we must also recommend you to fill the data about the salary that you are willing to accept. Not only this salary will affect your valuation but it will be very appreciated by employers looking for new candidates.

There are other minor improvements that will make your live easier. Email alerts have also a new column that tells you where the notificatoins comes from; with each quote (e.g. Madrid, Java, Dublin, …) we will be showing now related Cvs which is very attractive for candidates who can be shortlisted there and can be targetted by recruiters; and apart from that, there are many internal non-visible improvements and bug-fixes that have been added.

So in summary we are very happy with the pace that the project is moving at and we hope to release many new and exciting features in few weeks. We keep in touch!

We have also received plenty of positive feedback. Thanks to everybody that has come back with suggestions, critics, bugs and new ideas. So, with the number of users growing, with an increasing amount of CVs registered in the system, what we actually need is just that: feedback.

And in Jobsket we have tried to make giving your oppinion as easy as it possible could be. You can send us your feedback very easily and very quickly from Jobsket itself. Have you noticed the red button on the left side of the page? I am sure you did notice it. It does make quite a bit of contrast with the theme of the site.

If you click on the feedback button a new dialog will pop up. This dialog will display the top 5 ideas submitted to Jobsket by other users for our consideration. This can give us some great feedback on what people want to see in Jobsket and therefore we will give it top priority in our actual roadmap.

If you click “Go to our feedback forum” you will be redirected to our UserVoice page in which you can submit your own ideas. We are very happy to have already a few ideas submitted by you. But we would like to see more. Do you really want to see anything in Jobsket? Do you have a killer feature? Do you think we do things wrong? Post it to our feedback forum! We are really looking forward to read what you have to say.

Also if any problem happens to you while running Jobsket, send a bug our way. From the dialog above you can also submit bugs. You will not have to register or anything. You just have to enter your email address and a description of the bug. That information will come to us and we will have a look at it.

There has been already a few people sending us bugs through this form and I must tell you it has been incredibly helpful. Some of this bugs have already been resolved and we are looking forward to receiving more bugs from you. The more bugs you send us the more stable the product will be.

So we would like to thank you all for the warm welcome Jobsket has had. We are planning new and exciting features for the future. But do not forget it, send us your ideas!

If you are wondering it, the prize was 3000€, but in this case the money is really not important. The biggest prize for our team has definitely been seeing our idea judged, evaluated and validated and we really hope everyone signs up to the beta as we believe we have something really good to show you.

We are really grateful to all the people behind alzado.org (Eduardo Manchon, César Martín and Luis Villa) as they are helping companies like us to make their dreams come true and this is not easy specially when we are speaking about a project that is not visible yet. They have put their complete trust upon us and now we must work even harder to deliver. That is our objective and we will put all our efforts on it.
